Halloween 2024 was the first time that the Loud Movies team has created a themed event; 11 out of 15 of the films we showed were brand new, including a custom intro and an AI-generated spooky voiceover introducing each film. This was also the first show that used timecode-controlled lights using Onyx, a more traditional route than we’ve used up until now. And to top it all off, we had costumes, a zombie on a zip-line, and a DMX-controlled confetti cannon!

All in all, this was by far the biggest and ‘most new’ Loud Movie Demo Night to date, and we had some phenomenal reactions and feedback from those who were able to come and experience it.

We do not yet have a next event scheduled, as we are now entering the Thanksgiving-through-December Holiday stretch, which will make it difficult for us to mount any large demos. However, we will be hard at work on some big additions for the next demo. We have always wanted to add realtime graphics to the show (specifically on Dancy) in order to add reactive and interactive aspects to what we are have been doing thus far.

The coming months will feature a lot of testing and R&D, so the next demo night shall be a big leap forward yet again for us. We are also working with several filmmakers to try to modify their existing films or to make new short films together to see how we can best work them into this evolving format. This means that the next demo will feature the first true Loud Movie shorts that were made specifically for this experience.
